She does not appear the type to ask details as to why, she executes orders. Or does she simply receives a kill order from the Commander and doesn't know the truth herself?īased on a line she mentions early in the game, she only follows orders. My question is: From 2B's perspective, what exactly triggers the execution command? Does she herself knows the truth about YoRHa from the very beginning and proceeds with her objective when 9S uncovers the truth? (this could explain why she clenched her first at the start of the game when they recited the motto "Glory to Mankind"). which indicates 9S models have uncovered this truth multiple times before and 2B has had to step in for the kill. On the execution scene where 2B kills 9S, she says "It always ends like this". Execution Model 2E is tasked to killing 9S models whenever they find the real intentions behind the YoRHa Project and the ultimate fate of humanity. One thing is bugging me, as it was indicated near the ending of the game -2B a.k.a.

I’m glad that I gave this a chance, and not just because you can see right up 2B’s skirt when she climbs ladders.
And, after writing what it actually was, I did play some more. Of course, I had heard many people say how good this is, and was aware that it has won awards, but given how I had brushed it off as a soulslike, I really gave it a disservice.
This game has many levels, and not all of them are apparent just from screenshots and dodgy fan art. Then the camera kept changing, with side-scrolling and top-down sections. Well, I got a shock when the game started off in a shoot ‘em-up, before changing into a third-person hack & slash & shoot. Not that I knew a ton about that series, either to be fair… I had only recently become aware that this wasn’t the first title in the franchise, though I was aware that 2B is very popular in the realms of Rule 34 fan art.

That was, somehow, related to the Drakengard series despite there being no dragons. This time I went for the Xbox One version of Nier Automata.Ī third-person hack & slash in a Dark Souls vein, where I would be punished for the slightest misstep.
